This is a sensitive app, so this is a careful policy. It explains what the Simple Habit Tracker mobile app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have — with particular care for your childhood photos and the letters you write. Simple Habit Tracker is operated by SimpleApps via simpleapps.ai.

1. Your childhood photos

The photo you add of your younger self stays on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, not sent to any third party, not scanned, and never used to train any model. The mosaic veil-and-reveal effect is rendered entirely on your phone. If you create an optional account for cross-device sync, photos sync directly to your own devices in encrypted form; we cannot see them. You can delete a photo at any time, which removes it from the device.

2. Your letters, notes & reflections

The letters you write to your younger or future self, trigger-log entries, and reflections are yours. Without an account they never leave your device. With an account they sync across your own devices, encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not read them, scan them for keywords for advertising, or use them to train AI. The optional AI letter-starter and weekly-letter features process only the text you explicitly send for that request, and the result is returned to you — not retained for training.

3. What we collect to run the service

Simple Habit Tracker works offline by default. If you create an account, we collect only what's necessary to operate it: email address, your habits and check-in history (encrypted, for sync only), onboarding answers used to personalize the voice (stored locally and on our sync servers if you opt into sync), basic device metadata, and anonymous crash reports if enabled in your OS settings.

4. Waitlist & marketing emails

If you sign up for the waitlist on this page, we store your email address and use it ONLY to notify you when the app launches. If you also tick the marketing-opt-in checkbox, your email is added to the SimpleApps mailing list for occasional updates about other SimpleApps products. The two consents are independent — the first is required to be on the waitlist, the second is always optional. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can request full deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

5. What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. We do not access your camera roll beyond the single photo you choose to add. We do not use third-party analytics that track individual users. We do not read or scan your photos, letters, or reflections for advertising or AI training.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask for it to be deleted, or permanently close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

7. Age

Simple Habit Tracker is intended for ages 13 and up, and onboarding includes an age check. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
