This policy explains what information the Simple Gym mobile app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Simple Gym is operated by SimpleApps via simpleapps.ai.

1. What we collect

Simple Gym works offline by default. Workouts, the exercise library, and the on-device AI Form Companion all run on your phone — none of your reps, form data, or camera frames ever leave your device. If you create an account, we collect only what is necessary to operate the service: email address, encrypted workout history (for cross-device sync only), onboarding answers (goal, fitness level, injuries, schedule, equipment — used to personalize your program; stored locally and on our sync servers if you opt into sync), basic device metadata, and anonymous crash reports if enabled in your OS settings.

2. The AI Form Companion — pose detection

When you turn on the Form Companion (a v1.5 feature), pose-detection runs entirely on your phone using on-device machine-learning models. No video, no still frames, and no pose data are uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. You can verify this by enabling Airplane Mode — the feature continues to work. We do not have access to your camera feed at any time.

3. Waitlist & marketing emails

If you sign up for the waitlist on this page, we store your email address and use it ONLY to notify you when the app launches. If you also tick the marketing-opt-in checkbox, your email is added to the SimpleApps mailing list for occasional updates about other SimpleApps products. The two consents are independent — the first is required to be on the waitlist, the second is always optional. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can request full deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

4. What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. We do not access your camera roll, photo library, or files. We do not use third-party analytics that track individual users. We do not scan your workout data for advertising or AI training.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask for it to be deleted, or permanently close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.

6. Children

Simple Gym is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
